Panel Talk about the underrepresentation of female coaches in High Performance field hockey

On May 23 we’re doing a panel talk at thehockeysite.com hosted by Joy Jouret 🇧🇪 about her research on the under representation of female coaches in high performance hockey. Her research into the under-representation of female coaches in European high performance hockey has received support from EuroHockey. The goal is creating an evidence-based and consistent approach to understand the obstacles and generate meaningful solutions.

It’s not a typical European problem though. I guess it’s fair to say the same problem can be found in the Asia-Pacific region and Africa. But maybe less so in parts of America. So we invited an Australian top coach, a European top coach and someone who knows the Australian way, the European way and now since some years also the American way to share their experience on the topic.

Our guest panel speakers will be Katrina Powell (AUS), head coach for the women of Australia, Janneke Schopman (NED) with experience coaching national teams for USA, India and now Germany and Veronica Scott (AUS) who played and coached hockey in Australia, Belgium and today is the director of hockey for the Colorado Academy in the US.
