    Former international player for Australia, Adam Commens, found a new home in Belgium. As a coach he was the one who qualified Belgium for the first time in almost 4 decades for the Olympics again (Beijing 2008). He coached his original home country Australia at the Rio Olympics before returning to Belgium where he became the high performance director overseeing all national teams and youth development. As such he was one of the architects of the meteoric rise of Belgium culminating in gold medals at the World Cup (2018) and Olympics (Tokyo 2021).

    Coach Pholo played the Athens Olympics as a player for South Africa. She also played football and even represented her country at a world cup in touch rugby as well. Following her playing days she turned to coaching. She became a level 4 accredited FIH coach as well as a renowned coach educator for the FIH Academy. Today she runs her own hockey academy, coaches for the University of Johannesburg and is the striker coach for the SA national men’s team.

    Former Australian international Todd Williams is coaching in England. At the moment he is the head coach for the England Hockey Talent Academy hosted at the Oxford Hawks club and the Magdalen College School. As well as heading up his own Williams Hockey Coaching Academy. Previously he coached Hampstead & Westminster, Surbiton and Slough Ladies. Todd Williams delivered a masterclass on hitting at The Hockey Site and was our co-host for the Tokyo Daily previously.
