Rein van Eijk
Rein van Eijk is a coach from The Netherlands 🇳🇱 and had coaching roles at several prominent Dutch clubs. Following his role as the technical director of the youth academy at Amsterdam he decided to go for a new challenge in Germany 🇩🇪. In the summer of 2017 he became the head coach for the men from Berlin where he grew roots. These days he is the head coach for the U21 men of Germany.
Diversity is a superpower
Diversity in your coaching staff is something to treasure. At most levels. But we’ve seen its success especially at different high performing elite teams. Think of the rise of the Belgian men for example. But also in his own team, the German U21, van Eijk recognises the added value of a diverse coaching staff. His Germany became junior world champions in 2023 by the way. He explains having 5 nationalities and 3 generations in the staff was a plus for his team. Let’s learn more about this…
