GOT metrics are circle entries with labels attached, a system Darren credits to Ric Charlesworth and the Australians. Instead of simply counting entries, each one records its origin, the shot location and whether there was pressure on it. A points scale then grades quality: 0.5 for an entry with no touch, one for control in the circle, two to five depending on zone and pressure, five for a penalty corner won and six for a stroke.
