Danny Kerry about the shapes for setting up your zone

Most international teams set up in the traditional three four three vertical zone with a diamond at the back, which Kerry recommends as the starting point for a club side new to zonal play. GB built something different: a back four in a horseshoe rather than a diamond, two defensive screens in front, then two midfielders and two forwards, shifting numbers across to balance any overload the opposition created.
