Jamilon Mülders about Generation Z and our club system

Asked why hockey loses so many players in their early twenties, Mülders answers bluntly: the club and federation system no longer fits Generation Z. Nobody from this generation would sign the old membership contract with its notice periods and lingering fees. Keeping them on board means giving them attention every time, a genuine chance to buy in, and accepting that their span of involvement runs shorter than it used to.
